James
- Who
- James, most often identified as the brother of Jesus and leader of the Jerusalem church.
- When
- Either very early, about AD 45, or late in the first century.
- What it is
- Practical instruction, in short bursts, about what belief looks like when it is actually happening.
- What to watch for
- Its line about faith and works is often set against Paul; they are answering different questions, and Told twice puts them side by side.
So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead.James 2:17
