Leviticus 18:17
You must not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. You are not to marry her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter and have sexual relations with her. They are close relatives; it is depraved.

Study note
Setting — The Lord addresses Israel through Moses in the wilderness, continuing a list of prohibited sexual unions between verses 16 and 18.
The words — עֶרְוַ֥ת ('er.Vat) means "[the] nakedness of," and תְגַלֵּ֑ה (te.ga.Leh) means "you will uncover."
The thread — The prohibition against sexual relations with a woman and her direct descendants runs in Leviticus 20:14’s condemnation of marrying a woman and her mother, and Deuteronomy 27:23’s curse against sleeping with a mother-in-law.
Why it lands — The text states that marrying a woman and her descendants is depraved because they are close relatives, demanding strict boundaries around kinship and sexual conduct.

The Hebrew words
King James Version
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
